Healthy and delicious pulled pork recipe

This pulled pork recipe is quick, easy, healthy and very delicious! I usually prepare all the ingredients the night before. I cover the crock with the lid and leave it in the fridge. In the morning, I take out the crock with everything in it and place it in the crockpot/slow cooker. Set it to low for the day (approximately 7-10 hours). When you come back home in the evening, dinner is ready!

Below is the recipe, enjoy. Make about 6-8 servings. Save leftover for pulled pork sandwiches!!!

Pulled Pork

2.5 lbs of pork tenderloin (I used pork sirloin chop)

2 medium carrots, peeled

2 medium onions, peeled

2 medium green peppers (I didn’t have it)

2 cloves of garlics

1 medium orange

1 cinnamon stick or 2 tsp ground

½ tsp of dried crushed red pepper (optional)

2 cups of Sauce (recipe below) or just enough sauce to cover the meat.

Salt, pinch

Pepper, pinch

1. Cut carrots and onions into desired size. Cut orange in half. Minced 2 cloves of garlic.

2. Grind the cinnamon stick or use ground cinnamon or you can just use the whole cinnamon stick.

3. Marinate the pork with salt, pepper, cinnamon, crushed red pepper and minced garlic.

4. Place onions, carrot and green pepper at the bottom of the slow cooker.

5. Place the marinated pork on top of the vegetables. Then use a spoon to squeeze out all the orange juice.

6. Pour the Sauce on top of the pork. Add a little bit of fresh ground pepper.

7. Cover the lid. Set temperature to low for 8 hours.

Sauce: I premade this in a large quantity. I use this sauce as a BBQ sauce!

½ cup apple cider vinegar

2 oranges, squeezed for juice

½ cup of pineapple juice

1 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon dried crushed red pepper (optional)

1 tbsp Siracha sauce (optional)
