8 TIPS FOR EXERCISING ON LAZY DAYS

1. Create an Awesome Playlist

This may seem like a “duh” tip, but it seriously helps. I always become more excited to exercise when I listen to my motivational jams. Honestly? I don’t understand people who can run without listening to anything. How do they do it???

2. Start Your Day with a Mega Healthy Meal

I am always inspired to exercise after I eat a healthy, Instagram worthy breakfast. And vice versa! If I exercise, I always want to make the rest of my day just as healthy. You can’t lose here!

3. Sign Up For a Class

Especially if there’s a late cancellation fee. Trust me, when you are really poor and there’s a $20 fee on the line, you’ll go. Plus, the atmosphere is awesome and super encouraging. In fact, most of my exercising is in class form.

4. Find a Friend

If a class is not an option, make plans ahead of time with a friend. You won’t want to cancel, and you’ll have more fun!

5. Sleep in Your Exercise Clothes

And keep your shoes/water bottle right by your bed. One less excuse to not exercise—you’re already dressed!

6. Set Daily Goals

Monday: 45 minute run. Tuesday: 1 hour of yoga and a 30 minute run Wednesday: 30 minute run and 15 minutes of core

Etc, etc, etc. Have a plan! You’ll stick to it if you have a defined finish line in sight. Just be sure to keep it realistic. Even better? Make the exercise and their corresponding days into checklists. Everyone’s mild OCD tendencies will cringe at not checking off a day. Laziness be gone!

7. Be Realistic

This might be another “duh” point, but you really have to find what you like. If you hate running (like me), don’t run! If you’re sensitive to heat, skip the hot yoga! If you’re not a morning person, don’t force yourself to get up at 6am! Just because you’re told something is good for you, doesn’t mean it’s the right fit for YOU.

8. Scroll Through Your Instagram Feed

…after you follow a bunch of awesome fitspo babes. You’ll be filled with inspiration from these awesome, fit, healthy ladies. It may be slightly shallow, but it totally works.
